Check with the airlines for a cheap fare there. Stevens (unless they changed their policy lately) will reimburse you up to $200 for the airfare.
($200 is their cost of a greydog ticket).
Many students find they can fly for $225 or less and it's alot easier.

    nascarchuck Thanks this.

I think they help with air fare if you're going to orientation not the school.I think I inquired and was disappointed as well.Sadly,I may have to do the same thing.I'm looking around the house for things I can sell to scrape up extra dough for air fare instead of having to take the bus.lol.I imagine it will take me at least four days from here to get there.

Are they reimbursing you for the fare or is that part of the financing too?

Got tired of being laid off. I was lowest in my seniority group and would get laid off constantly. Work a month, get laid off. Work six months, get laid off. Some stints were for a year or 2 at a time. Got tired of it. Love transport as a profession, so I thought trucking would be a good fit.

Yeah.I totally hear ya.Despite what every one says, especially on the news,NH is dead. There's not much work here at all so I too find myself in the same boat.Especially every winter things just fall off the map.Tonight another snow, freezing rain, and ice warning all the way to tomorrow afternoon.Well,I wish you the best on your travels there and will be anxiously tuned in as I'll be arriving shortly after.Stay cool and positive. Will you have a lap top with ya to be able to post?
