Starting classes on April 21 in Phoenix

Hey all been crazy busy like you all...

School is going well, next weekend the range.
So for SWTDT is fair. Our instructor is great, but the material is rather outdated and the videos are OLD. REally old. Remember "Members Only" jackets? Yeah the drivers are wearing those.

As for the instructors, they are good. Nice group. Typical old guys with sea stories to tell.

Just glad the classroom stuff is over and the driving and range starts next weekend.

 

Hi all Range next weekend, however we got out on the range yesterday to learn pre-trip and move the gears to get an idea about the shift pattern and double clutching.

I am leaning towards Hazmat and tankers local, but most want 6 months to 2 years driving. That may kill most of the prospects, but I am not dead set. But that is where I want to be. I was kicking around Schneider, they seem to have a good tanker training program, but training I don't think isn't available in Az.

There is so much to consider. I would also like to do belly dumps here in Az. OTR is just not a option at this time. I have too much going on and no help or support network for emergencies.

God willing something will rise. I hate being new. And this is one of those careers where being new with no experience sucks

Bob at SWTDT is a great instructor. The indoor portion of the training is complete. Now it is all outdoors. Just hope is stays somewhat cool through next month.
