ok just finished upgrading. Training went fine. unfortunitly they sent me to North Jackson terminal to upgrade. THat teriminal is ______ hole. Upgrading is fairly easy. another pretrip 45 backing and drive test plus a few written tests on logs and a general knowledge test. the truck we tested in was a piece. it was an old automatic. dont ask me y i know it doesnt make sense especially since there getting rid of them all. the important thing to remember is revert back to your school training for this its easy to forget thhings like GOAL when you been with a trainer for two or three weeks and you dont do it. I didnt get the partner i requested instead i got a guy who lives nearly 200 miles from me. Idk how the heck thats suppose to work.

good luck guys enjoy the road if your going with PAM than you will most likely be in Tontitown in the next 3 weeks however Irving and North jackson do smaller orientation classes Im not sure if there special cases or not.
-
Yep. I go to Arkansas for Orientation on Aug 13th. I wasn't expecting a week off. Sooner I get to orientation, the sooner I can start making money.
I actually live pretty close to Irving. So just a 12 mile drive to the Irving Terminal for me. I was thinking of just getting my wife to take me and pick me up so I don't have to leave my car there for two or more weeks. Is that what most OTR Truck Drivers do? -
I've been to Irving a few times but I've never noticed if there's civilian personal vehicle parking, it doesn't look like it though, I think 'Scoundrel' can give u a better answer though, look him up. Or ask the security guard there she's pretty nice and always helpful.
