Starting in Garbage Tomorrow and I am excited. I've been trying to get into this industry almost 2 years and the hard work is paying off. Coming from dump trucks and Sysco Foods before that. What advice do you have for me?

    Shaggy Thanks this.

Ya I know,I imagine the pay is good too at least for solid waste it is.Then theres few garbage companies that pick up from homes the pay is not so good.It depends on where you're at.The pay here sucks for garbage haulers with no advancement that's for the ones that goes to homes. But solid waste heard pays real good.

It pays very well where I am as well as union benefits, pension etc. It is also a steady job regardless of weather or economic climate.

This employer here needs a rear load driver which I applied for a couple months ago and to this day he still has it on craigs list.I imagine the pay has a lot to do with why he can't find a driver,12.00 an hour to start.A little more for exp drivers.
