Orientation is over, talk about a boring 3 days. We had the 3 students from our class and 4 exp. drivers. All 3 of us have trainers lined up, I should be going out between Thursday and Monday, just depends on we he gets routed through Trenton. Is nice as he lives in the area so when he takes home time I can drive home from the terminal. He is hoping to have me ready for my own truck around the 5-6 week mark just depends on how quick I get everything and passing the cdl test. If anyone in the upcoming classes has questions feel free to ask, will answer what I can.
This is a pet peeve but how do you make it 30+ years in life and not know how to fill out a insurace, tax,or payroll form. Also when they say you need to bring a check or card from your bank with routing number and account number, or Names, Addresses and S.S. numbers for dependents and benificiaries for your insurance and direct deposit, it doesn't mean don't bring it and then have to have it faxed or call to get it. I could see leaving it at the hotel in the morning, I get that but to not bring it at all.
Thats it for now, will try to update as I am out with my trainer to give a lowdown on how it goes.
Starting in Trenton 8/22

Just finished class in Cartersville, we go back Monday for orientation. Greg may have to start taking a higher dosage of blood pressure meds after this class lol.
Best part was getting to take a trip to Texas as part of training!
Had my trainer pick me while we were doing our backing, so I am taking that as a good sign.
I REALLY anxious to get out there and on the road. cant wait, met some good guys I hope to stay in contact with on the road. -

Looking forward to a prosperous future truckin, hope to see you guys on the road -
Congrats and remember it's a grueling 5+ weeks. Just listen, take notes and drive safe. Dont let anyone or anything rush you. Mistakes are more likely when you allow yourself to be rushed!
Glad our posts have helped - thats why we do this!
