out with my trainer got picked up yesterday. Ran down to Tenn to drop off some milk product. Then down to dalton ga to pick up carpet to take to plano il. Got some driving in so far didn't do any of the mountains which is understandable. Will try to keep things updated as I go. Got to say the t700 are nice and roomy got two little cubbies for my stuff.

Went to Atlanta to deliver picked up in cartersville a load of beer heading to Austin for Monday. Got to drive through ga, bama, miss, and currently in baton rouge on 10hr. Driving the bridge in to la on I10 was cool going over the lake/gulf/river. New Orleans was ok not to much traffic was wired driving it. You look out and you see houses flooded out and abandoned the one block over is all new construction. Was a good experience.

At some little truck stop off 183s about 30 miles outside Austin. Only place around with truck parking. Not bad clean but only a Mcdonalds to eat at. You would think with it being Texas there would be a steakhouse near by. This state is massive. Few things about it though, 1. I now there has been a drought and all the grass is dead, but when you step on dirt you aren't suppose to sink 2 inches down, when you step off the spot its not suppose to collapse and have a 6 inch deep hole. 2. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put stop lights on a state highway with a 65mph speed is an idiot. I'm driving along and all of a sudden you see stop lights. Go 5 miles stop light. Needless to say the cars behind me for the next 30 miles were not happy with my 45-50mph speed so that I could stop when the random light decided it wanted to be red. 3. No truck parking, we came up I10 to TX290, you have the 3 big stops before Houston, then a couple little stops with 5 spots between there and Austin. So we had to go out of route to find a place to shut down for the night.
The windshield looks like a bug apocalypse happened have cleaned it twice today and its bad. At one point we hit so many at once sounded like rain drops on the window. 930 delivery tomorrow morning, hopefully they can find us something to get us out of here quick. -

Back in Trenton, delivered a load of glass from Waco last night, so got to run home from the terminal and take my 10 hour break in my own bed. Was a smooth run up, hit a little traffic in Dallas, but Dallas Finest where able to help us out. Cop stepped right in front of two lanes of traffic no fear, threw his hand up to stop them and waved us through, was an awesome sight, only thing missing was the gun to stop traffic. Sitting at the terminal now for the Driver Cook-out, free burgers and hot dogs for all.
