Starting my career at Millis

Well, angles are looking out for me I think..

Alice called me bright and early today - wanted to confirm that I sent her a copy of my permit - which I had, but apparently she had forgotten to tell me that it's Mb was a bit big on the scan. Not to worry, a few clicks on the ol' mouse and bada bing! 'Press't-O [again the mouse and a few licks on the keys] and sent. Done.

She calls me back about five hours later; we had gone over a few things in our earlier conversation - I had mentioned the willingness to get this ball rolling and said I'm ready when Millis is - she's now telling me 'Hey though you should know, we've had a cancellation in the next class - starting next week.' --->> Just about jumped out'a my skin!!

It seems, though, can't count on everything to be perfect - Somehow I've managed to misplace my SS card since last month (it's been in my wallet for months now)! Hmm... and I 'think' my Live Birth is in the safety deposit box; I 'think'. Nothing like last minute 'SCHEIßE' to get in the mix. I've been packed since three weeks ago. Might be a mad dash to the Dept. of Vital Records tomorrow, with a crisp $10 waving about.

 

Bossfrog - I owe ya! Just not right away, ok? I'm a bit in the red - kinda bleeding (not like the monthly thing either) actually. But, thanks man... I'll spring for a cupa joe any day you want till then. Perferably a WH cup?!

What made you change your mind /or/ had you on the fence? I hear quite a few people (locally to us) chose them in a close tie.

 

yah, know that feeling - I can relate. I was ready two weeks before I even knew about Millis. Had been accepted and was looking for a pen to sign. I'm sooo glad I didn't get too raped up in it, taking a look back now (just a month) I've been in worse but that would have given me a run for the money.

 

Hey, Congrats guy. Best of luck to you. I know for sure that ATL's traffic isn't the worst - but the crazys are just comming out of the woodwork now so be extra careful (everywhere) and as always...

Ah, so I paid out for a new birth certificate today (picked up another for my son while I was at it) and bought some food for my first week at class. Came home and called Alice and told her that all is good for Sunday night to check in; while on the phone she mentions that someone didn't come up with their deposit money for the first day of class and I went to check to make double sure I had mine - NOPE! Lost a bill today shopping somewhere... GRRR!! SO now, I have just about everything I need and I'm short not only the $400 for class but I have no $$$ for food past the $40 I spent for ONE week...

TIME TO SELL SOME CRAP - I have a NICE 47" LCD Phillips TV w/ambilight (2ch) -- 1080p Native screen... Craigslist posted - but since I'm here and it's here that I want to stay (working in the job I've spent over hundreds to setup a new career)
