Awsome, well I'll definately look more into that. My best friend's step-dad has been doing local driving for the last while (good 10 years) and I know he makes pretty mad money.

This is so true. Here's my experience. I was promoted to driver supervisor and ran a small terminal. They kept me on hourly wages when all the other driver supervisors in the company were on salary. Soon they found out I was making alot more than they were so it didn't take long for the company to offer me a package.

Here's the point. Any company will take you on with a business degree. What you make starting out with a business degree took me 15 years of work to get there. When you're at 15 years wit a degree there's no driver anywhere that can match your wages. I worked for an oil company and they will pay for the credits and books at any school for a business degree. So if you want to drive the trucks then college is not needed. But if you want to make the money and decisions about the trucks then a degree is the way to go.

Really helpful, thanks! That's perfect for me because I don't have any interest in being a supervisor/manager. I just want to be behind the wheel.
