What the difference between regional and OTR, I want to go where the most money is involved. Recruiter told me atleast 675 to 900 a week, is that a good estimate? I humbly understand that i am a rookie and the money will get better as time progress. How are the dispatchers / DM towards the newbies?
Starting orientation/training next week CT Transportation

are you getting per diem on top of the CPM? or is it calculated differently?

First, the dispatcher has been pretty good to me. I do all I can to get the loads there on time and early, this is key to success. I also keep them informed of whatever is happening that may jeopardize my departure and/or arrival. The company is only about 400ish drivers. Your amount is not to far off from what I heard. CT is primarily SE area (which is a region to other companies that offer regional), however you will see PA, OH, IN, MO, TX and some New England. OTR is over the road and not a dedicated/local driver, which I trained with for two weeks and I hated it. Remember, treat those respect to earn respect. No matter how bad things are be nice. A statement that was in Roadbouse.

I do take the perdiem. It is roughly $57/day, and is not taxed.

Retired_2009, things are going well. I have nothing major to complain about. Nothing that would drive me away from CT. You will learn that the complaint that one driver has against a company are typically the same across the boards as other company drivers would have.
