well i got a mentor was told i should hear from him friday well i didnt so i called in this morning and mentor was to go from phx to la with a load well he took another load that whent east and didnt bother telling my dm that he wasnt able to get me so here i sit waiting for another mentor #### i just want to work
Kind of worries me BB, I start my orientation on Monday the 13th in Jonestown,Pa. any suggestions on what to pack? what to expect?
if you going out with a trainer after just pack your cloths and a light jacket and your personal hygene stuff and keep it light you can always stop at a wally world and pick stuff like food and what nots if your trainer lets you and when you get to talk to your trainer ask him seeing how your on the east coast i dont think you will have a problem getting a trainer they have a lot right now west coast has very little and when your going threw orientation its just a lot of stuff to make you think about things so dont be nervious its a cake walk just be prepared when you drive
Outstanding, I'm excited and nervous in the same sense.Been wanting to drive for a few years but wanted to make sure my kids were older. Now that they are, I'm good. Not sure if you know the answer to this. But when your out with your mentor, do you get home time. Not that this really is an issue with me, but I've been asked by a few people that have just recently passed their CDL and I can't answer this one. But I truly thank you for the info that you gave already. Greatly Appreciated!
it depends on where your home terminal is with your mentor if there the same i was told ya if its not then no so hope that you and your mentors home terminal is the same
well second mentor gone now on my 3rd but this time i whent in to the terminal and talk to driver services first thing in the morning and dont know what happened to my second mentor so she whnet looking and i took off to do classes and some paper work at the keoski things and after i was done whent back to see her and she said she had pared me up again with a mentor and he was standing right next to me so ive finaly meet my mentor sat and talked with him for awile and seems like a great guy and were going to get along great his truck is in the shop and looks like it wont be done till wednesday or thuresday so ya cant wait to get out on the road
