I interviewed at a hiring event in Odessa. There were about a dozen of us. Sat in a room and were shown some propaganda videos and then some of the managers and staff spoke about the positions and company.

Then one on one interviews. Try to get an interview with the actual manager not a fill in if you can

Thanks for the advice. What is the starting pay for frac operator? And is it true they have a mancamp in odessa or how does the housing work in odessa?

That should speed up the process a little for you. I got a call about coming to an information session in PA where they tell you all about the company, what you will be doing, benefits, how much of a lifestyle change it is. For me they did a same day interview because I was from out of state but basically they will give you a thirty minute time slot for your interview. They will look for examples of experience in a safety-conscious environment, how you handled difficult situations and why you want to work there. Just be ready to give them specific examples. In my case, I was interviewed by three supervisors who were actually quite young and I could tell that they did not have much experience with interviews because they asked some generic questions off of a piece of paper. I also interviewed for a frac position at a different office near there and that was with someone in upper management who challenged me more on my answers so it's hard to gauge how in-depth the interview will be. Hopefully that helps.

I interviewed on June 23 or so, 2 weeks later I got a call then emails minutes after that with some paperwork I had to sign and email back to them. A week later I got my physical email, then this week I got another email that I passed all my screenings and to report to orientation on the 7th....they had scheduled me for July 31 but due to some personal stuff going on I couldn't make it....so they're pretty flexible about what date u can go to orientation... Good luck

I always wore khakis and a polo w my steel toes to my oilfield interviews. I would also usually ask the recruiter or person who set up the interview what was preferred.

    viper822004 and RocketmAAn Thank this.
