Even if you were making .45cpm net and maximum possible miles, which is, as kisstatfrog stated, 3400, you'd be making $1,530/week. But that happens in fantasyland. I bet you make on average around $1.000/week, probably less than that. If they really run you that good as you claiming. Then you pay your "major medical plan" which is minimum $50/week, necessary expenses like anti-gel, oil and other crap, about $150 for taxes and you'll take home some $700 bucks. Good if you don't have any bills or family to support.

That .45cpm should be a standard for all that crap we're going through on the road and being treated like a trash at shippers and receivers and taking care of stevens truck.

You said emulified could not make even $1,000 per week. You have no idea what a major medical plan is... I pay $116 per MONTH for it.

See you believe you need to be paid more, yet you agreed to work for the wages offered. And now it is not about the work you perform, but about the way you are treated by other people. Try being honest with shippers and receivers, treat them as humans the way you would like to be treated. Does it work all the time, NO, but I am a better person for treating them with respect, even when they don't me.

I post my weekly numbers in another thread. I have never claimed 45cpm.
I see people everyday who believe they should get this or that, or that someone else is making too much money. Why not focus on yourself, and take the advice that others have presented, instead of making wild claims, that I know are false.

Or how about say what you dislike about Stevens, that you have found what you consider a better company, and name that company.

Truck drivers are looked down upon by a large portion of society. And we have brought some of that on ourselves.

If you are new and are just coming into this industry, you have to start somewhere. You are not going to make a CEO salary when you are a mail room clerk. :)

I bet his copy of the movie 'CONVOY' is all worn out. Kris Kristofferson would be so proud.

I make this statement knowing it is not needed. But I feel I can voice my words here. I am not yet a trucker, but I am going to venture a guess it is nothing like bootcamp. At least MCRD San Diego. Maybe it's like the army without stress cards lol, silly soldiers. It's not like ITB or MCT. It's not like processing into county jail. Again I have not been to a trucking school but now I feel I must become a trucker just to dispel the myths. Thanks for reading stay safe everyone.

Okay, so as one wanting to get into the business, whose point of view should I believe? Let's see...Mr. 38 Years of Experience versus Mr. 3 Years of Experience. Hmmm...

You don't believe a word he says. You're funny. :biggrin_2554:
