If you go tanker, buy a lawn chair. Cause youll need it from what Ive been told by a few tanker yankers. A lot of sitting watching the tank be loaded. Get some time in, gain experience, then decide if you want to switch. Those smooth bore tanks are not fun. They hold, I think, 8,000 gallons. Thats a lot of weight pushing you around. Ive driven a truck with 1000 gallons and could feel it back there.

Learn about securement!!! Also pay attention to learning how to maneuver a spread axle w/o ripping the front tires off. Always be on your guard. Flatbedding is very dangerous. A lot of ppl have been injured or killed because they werent paying attention

So prime tankers are smooth bore? I know Milk tankers are but I had no clue about the other tankers out there.

2500 gallon tank is nothing to a full load on a smooth bore. All food grade is smooth bore so at the tank wash it can be cleaned properly for next load.

Yea your right! 2500 is nothing to 8,000 gals! but at lest I do have some idea about tankers, Try to stop and it push ya another 2 miles down the road! No such thing as going to slow in a curve with a smooth bore tank! Went with my xg/f Dad hualing milk one time! It will push ya another mile down the dang road and kill someone, if you don't keep on your toes!
