Just finished up Evo I. I opted to stay out so I hit the road again tomorrow. They have me at a hotel in Ellenwood for the night. This is going really well for me so far, and my next trainer is a flatbedder. I am stoked.

Evolution,
I too stayed out and did my EVO I and II back to back. I wanted to get the normal checks started as soon as possible. Boy was I surprised when I got my first check after being in my own truck for a few weeks and it was another TRAINING check. I called my DSR and she told me to call payroll. Payroll said they would look into it, but never figured it out. Then my next check came and it was short also. I again called my DSR and they told me to call payroll. I called them over and over and was finally told that you have to get 3 training checks when on the Honor program. So I was driving, making the company plenty of money and got training checks for 6 weeks. I was only in a training truck for 21 days. You are better off going home in between them and taking a break if you ask me. I was pretty pissed when they kept giving me training checks. That was the only real problem I ever had with the company. Had I known this ahead of time, I would have gone home and spent time with the family. I spent 26 days away the first time for nothing, in my opinion since it didnt get those normal checks started any sooner. I just thought you should know. -
Yeah, I knew about the three training checks already, but good looking out. I appreciate it. I just felt I would do better to knock it all out in one shot, and it worked out well for me since I got a flatbedder for EVO II. I am set up for the van fleet, but want flatbed. I figure this will be a good way to to get some training until they can get me through load securement and onto a skateboard. Thanks again for the heads up though.

My decision to go with Roehl was based on class size (9 max as opposed to high 70's for Schneider), cost of school (half what Schneider charges), and a starting date that worked better for me. All in all, I think I made the best decision for myself.
This last 3 weeks they've been running me like a rented sled dog. I don't mind, as I made a great paycheck this past Wednesday, but I worked my tail off for it. Two 34 hour resets, only one day sitting waiting for a load. Other days I might wait a couple or a few hours, then be put under a hot load. Messed up a couple of times, but nothing serious. 17 days out is too much for me, though. -
Does Roehl go to the west coast? You said you are driving a reefer unit? Is it true you have to have a doubles/triples endorsement to run those?

i start monday april 7th. they hired me on as a driver so ill only have to go thru 2 weeks training to learn the paper work. im kinda scared since this will be the first time im on my own with no friends what so ever.and then to go solo man do i fear the im unprepared.anybody else starting on this day??

No you do not have to haul doubles and triples to haul refers. They have 53 foot vans. -
