Thanks evolution; I will try that Sunrise Diner on Main Street. I will wait until later to see if I have any more questions. Just want to make it thru school first and than on to the evo's. Thinking about doing them all back to back. Should not be to hard on the family and myself considering I just finished the Navy. That way I can get going faster and set in a rythem. Well, hope to run into you soon.

I did my Evo's back to back. It wasn't bad, but I had two really good trainers that I got along with. The only thing I can really "warn" you about is the training pay. If you are a salary driver, you have to do three pay cycles on training pay before moving to full salary..

Welcome to the world of 63MPH Roehl trucks...
-
When did everyone get the message about the trucks being turned down to 63 MPH? Also, did anybody else have their over speed bumped up to 70 MPH?
-
Yesterday.
Yes, everyone.
They want us to use gravity, not diesel. -
Yuppers. Was on a voice mail. When you run through a terminal to get fuel, they are going to change the governor. I was wondering why my QC wasn't beeping when I was rolling down hills, then I got the message.
-
They say they won't be doing it at the fuel islands until later on, though. I guess it's only going to be if you have maintenance done to your truck for the first "phase". I'm glad I just had a PM done in Iron Mountain. The guys up there are really good, had me all fixed up much more than I asked them for. To be honest, I don't even remember why I had pulled in the shop in the first place, but I left with a PM, my mirror fixed, my tires rotated, some glad hand seals (Marshfield would only give me 2. When I told them how ridiculous it was, a driver said if I'm doing the upkeep on my truck 2 should be more than enough. I really wanted to punch him, seeing as I've been hooked to 6 trailers in a single day before, which is 12 glad hand seals plus the 2 on my truck.), another fuel filter, and a few other things. I don't know why the hell they won't just give us what we, the ones responsible for the truck, say we need. Do they know how often I'm able to get to the terminal? Sometimes I'm at one 5 times in a week, sometimes not for two weeks. Had a similar discussion about locking the equipment rooms. Was on my way home, needed lumbers, and I interrupted the guy's lunch so he could bring over his handy-dandy key-chain. I mentioned it shouldn't be locked in the first place, then he got into how the inventory gets messed up because drivers don't sign things out. Which costs a company more: A wrong inventory at a terminal, or a driver not having the equipment he needs to be able to secure/tarp a load? He wanted me to get the lumbers out of one of the local guy's truck and I told him I wasn't messing around with it--I should've been home yesterday, and I'm not wasting more time with something that should've taken 5 minutes. I can go to Oak Creek and get all the equipment I need and never even ask anyone for a key. And Oak Creek has the equipment! The locked equipment room is the reason I won't bother dropping off extras in Gary, as I'm sure it is with many other drivers. Something so simple shouldn't be so much of a hassle.

Well, you won't see me at a terminal anytime soon. I can't remember the last time I fueled up at one of them. ####... have a bad day or two seymour? You ever run into anyone from class? Bob?
-
I've had quite a few bad lately, but it seemed one little event made everything else compound on top of eachother. I haven't seen anyone on here from school except for Steve (from GA). I actually thought I saw you (or who I think you are) leaving the Gary terminal two Thursdays ago. Why won't I be seeing you at a terminal any time soon?
-
I also saw Steve down in Georgia when I was picking up awhile back. I did see Jason and he was talking about you (CMoore) but I thought he meant Seymour. I didn't remember anybody in our class named Seymour and I was sure confused there for a minute but finally caught on. I was the one living next door to you back in Marshfield. What were those apartments called? The Keys? I need to go back to that casino we went to a few times. I actually won some money. Come to think of it, I was in Gary a couple Thursdays ago. I'm staying away from the terminals so my truck can stay at 65 MPH.
