Hi from Oregon! Any one got any goodies or baddies about Central. My school is in Salt Lake City. Wondering if Central has schools elswhere farther west. I am an honorably discharged vet (Vietnam era) and Central is paying my costs. 12 days school, 3 days orientation, 5 WEEKS with a trainer-that is a little freaky for me. I get $450.00 per week while training, then get my own truck. Anyone know of another comany that has that "hire a Vet" deal going on? A trucker buddy of mine said I might want to consider a company that is not a refer companydue to the noise. I guess I have a zillion questions, like how much $$ can I expect to make on average and if they schedule me home time (14 days out, 2 home or 21days out 3 home), do I really get to travel all 48 states?
I just joined this forum and am looking forward to hearing from all, especially you folks at Central Refrigeration.
    Have a goodun! Kelly

Welcome to you, don't know anything about Central at all. I would take a dry box over a reefer to start with and then choose later. There's the noise, having to find places for washouts. You will have your hands full starting out already without adding another power unit to the mix. Thanks for your service and good luck.
