Starting training 2/8

They are closing the Weedsport terminal. I suspect some more significant changes are coming with this being the first. The last 2 companies they flipped very quickly.

 

We pull ALOT of beer and paper.....but we pull anything you can imagine from generators to pet food

 

But they are opening 5 more schools ran by millis so who knows new millis trucks being ordered left and right

 

From the looks and sound of things, there will be plenty of steady year round work.

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, all year round.

 

I'm in training right now at Trenton, OH. Bill, the instructor there, said all the manual training trucks were retired in November. Not sure if this is Millis wide or just here.

Also from what I have seen and heard, the changes right now are in the trucks, air ride passenger seat replaced with standard seat, upper bunk removed, air dump and 5th wheel release removed, and table removed. New trailers have had air ride removed for springs.

My truck still has air dump and 5th wheel release so that's strange rest of the stuff I can't comment on other stuff since my truck has double bunk and air ride seat for students

Good luck on your journey. I had a seat reserved in the Richfield, WI location that started Jan 11, but chose to start with a different company. Heard very good things about Millis and the training program. Search up Southerndad on here as he does a excellent journal of his experience with Millis.
