All I know is what the recruiter I spoke with told me, and that was there wouldnt be a female trainer available for about a year. When I told them it didn't matter to me if the trainer was female, I was told it's their policy, to avoid sexual harassment issues. So....my name's on the 'waiting list' but really, I don't know if I'd want to work there anyway, now. My opinion, you want to avoid sexual harassment, you have trainers take a class, pass a background check, take a test, something, ANYthing other than keep a woman from driving just because she's a woman. Because, excuse me, but there ARE lesbian drivers, and how do they know a lesbian trainer wouldn't harass a female trainee? And in my case, unless the trainer was under 5' tall, as I am, it wouldn't matter if it's a guy or a girl who made an unwelcome pass - either one who didn't know how to take 'no' would get a wrench knocked upside the head. I mean really, unless they make it a practice to actively hire known CSC offenders and use them as trainers, that policy is just retarded, and makes me think corporate may have a misogynistic attitude. Just my opinion, don't mean to offend anyone.

We all know its unfair, and your feelings on the subject are quite justified. On the one hand, there was a horrible case of a woman who was sexually assaulted by her trainer in the truck. The trainer was promptly arrested and fired. The EEOC sued Prime over it and forced the current restrictions. Subsequently another suit was brought by the EEOC over the restrictions they placed on Prime. It seems the company can't win - one way or another. And yes, the whole deal is retarded.

Cant never be too careful. All a female has to do is accuse. No proof needed and a good mans life is ruined. I wouldnt allow a female on my truck just for that reason. Gotta look out for yourself.

Exactly. Keep in mind a lot of male trainers refuse to train women for this reason. That's why the list is so long. Its a problem at lots of companies. Prime just has been the one getting hit in the public over it.

I'm a student at prime right now. There's only 1 woman in my class and that's because she's gonna be trained by her husband.

We live in a litigious society, Can I sue for being offended by your opinion?

It is what it is... For Prime, you need a relative to get in quickly, I brought my niece in for training a while back...

You missed the biggest point, There are alot of wives who don't want a female in their husbands truck for any length of time much less three months of VERY close contact:biggrin_255:

Does this mean you already obtained the Missouri learners and necessary endorsements prior to processing?

Or did you obtain an out of state learners with applicable endorsements that are transferrable or usable toward the Prime training?

I already obtained Delaware learners and all but doubles and buses endorsements so if i came there would I skip the need for a learners permit for Missouri if I already have a valid one from a different state?
