I believe Prime does it under the direction of Missouri law. Can anyone else verify this?

Not sure about Prime's physical, I do that tomorrow.

I had a DOT physical by my own Doctor prior to coming here just to make sure I was good. It was a standard physical, plus some extra questions that the Dr. asks, eye sight, hearing, if your a male they do a hernia check (turn your head and cough).

Be prepared to pass a drug test (urine sample). Be able to walk and lift items similar to having to move frieght around in a trailer.

If you are on any medications be sure to have them with you and be prepared to have your own doctor certify that they will not interfere with you driving a commericial vehicle if the company doctor questions them.

Shouldn't be if you are healthy and not taking any meds. I would have your blood pressure checked to make sure you are not above 140/90. Most drug stores and large groceries stores have a machine that will check it for you for free. Or go to a walk in clinic and ask if a nurse can check it.

Pretty much a standard DOT physical...

But there are a few other things - a couple of physical items including a "duck walk" - squat down and take a few steps. Kinda like you have to every time you hook up to a trailer to check the brakes.

They will check your BMI, measure your neck size and ask some questions that may or may not lead to a sleep study - for sleep apnea. Its not disqualifying, but they will want you to start treatment if you have sleep apnea - goes to the safety of the general public while you're operating an 80,000-lb (un)guided weapon of possible mass catastrophe.

Definitely bring all perscriptions with you to orientation (the bottle is fine) - the company doctor (Dr. A - who is a very good doctor) will determine whether you're going to be able to drive and remain on them. Also have your doctors phone and fax number in case you need to get some additional documentation.

BP as stated... if you're worried about it, there are a couple of automated cuff machines in the Millenium building in the first floor atrium (by the grill seating area) to check your BP. Stay away from salt, caffeine and don't be stressin'!
