Just that it would be hard to keep your job going solo if you are not able to put in to it what I described - either not working hard enough or safe enough. You'll need the 8-10 hours rest/sleep to stay safe.
What cpufixrmatt said, plus as much as this may seem to be an "easy" job - its not. For the first few months, the driving schedule is going to really take it out of you. You'll need your sleeper berth time to rest. You can't be tired to heck and do this job - there is the life of another person in the truck and the general public to think about as well. In the training phase, there will be times when you are expected to get up and help with various tasks - mostly so you can be trained on how to do them as well. Once you've settled into a groove as a solo-qualified A-seat - then think about resuming the online education.
That is my plan guys; I know that the job isn't going to be easy and is going to require a lot out of me, I am prepared to take that journey. setting school to the side is okay for me. i am 22, no kids or anything like that. Really I want to take this job for the year so that i won't have to pay back the fees, and hopefully gain enough experience to come back home and take a local driving job, this will just be my foot in the door to a career that i've had my eyes on for a year now.
All written tests are passed, going to DMV at 1500 to get my permit. Confirmed that my CDL trainer is heading here to pick me up on Friday.
Guys? How about it? The last I heard is about $150 for the initial DOT physical, and your MO permit fee. That's just the same fee requirement you would pay at any driving school.
