If I like it here I will relocate closer to Houston since I'm Single with no major expenses. Do to the wait time at these plants I decided to invest in some gaming gear. Bought a switch, tv, and 2 cobra 400 watt inverters to power everything.
Like this load today since the customer loaded me and the customer unloaded me. Did not have to do anything other than drive. Only used the hoses 1 time so far and might go the rest of training without using them again.
Starting with Schneider bulk

When you're at these plants, are you allowed to use the restroom if you're quick?

Gin86 and newbietrucker91 Thank this.

All the plants have port-a-pottys everywhere but due to security they may not let you walk around looking for them. One place was cool but others you have to go before entering the plant since the area you will be at has no bathroom for over 2 block radius.
Gin86 and Juanthehumanoid Thank this. -

Trainer said he had a guy quit on him due to the long wait times. He told him to pack a lunch and he did not listen and what you know it took 9 hours with no vending machine anywhere.

Gin86 Thanks this.

If I'm lucky I'll get assigned a truck with one of those 1500 watt inverters installed and buy a fridge and microwave but if not my small 400 watt inverters will have to do. Won't even get the full 400 watts since I can't hook them up to the battery and I don't think Schneider will install them without a medical reason.

Well a little late but today was my 2nd day. After arriving in la we went to the plant, loaded up after a small delay of paperwork. Headed back to Houston using a slightly alternate route that got off and then back on to i10, ran through bridge city TX. Made it back to terminal, dropped and picked up a trlr. Went to quala in free port, dropped the trlr. Bobtailed to nalco freeport. Load wasn't ready until tomorrow (today) morning. Currently woke up from sleep and am heading back to sleep shortly

Today was another slow day. Started our day at 530am and ended it at 650pm with just one load. First place took 5 hours to load and then 3 hours at customer to unload. Again we did not have to use our equipment so just drive and sit. Reason why im bringing some games for the ride when solo.
Tomorrow will be my last day with the trainer. We have just one load planned that should not take long. Take a loaded trailer and unload at Exonn. Get to finally use my twic card. If we don't get another load plan by the time we unload he said I can go home. Don't have to be back till Monday for test out so heading home Saturday.Gin86, TaterFox and Juanthehumanoid Thank this.
