Also make sure you get your hazmat and twic. This load plus the next one in on are hazmat loads. Sucks both require me to use pump but hey, get to have some practice with it.

To give an example of how they plan the loads out, I pu the loaded trailer at the yard tomorrow and is not due till Monday morning. This gives a few hours of room on the trip to make appointment. Mind you I'm heading right into the icy storm with a temp controlled load.

I have my twic, won't be able to get hazmat until I get a paycheck. But it's slotted.

So today I went in and got assigned my dbl and my truck. Truck is a tag axle automatic 2015 with 260k on the dash. Some guy quit yesterday after only 3 weeks so I got his truck. I got switched however from regional to otr by asking which apparently meant a 3-5cpm raise automatically. According to the dbl, can anyone clarify? Decided I wanted to be out 10-12 days at a time instead of 5-7 or so. So that's good news, truck is in shop and I got auto certified in the morning. Will take some getting used to and still hoping to get a manual truck soon

As I've said, the only issue I think you'd have is the acceleration of the auto, otherwise, you won't have a sore leg :)

Be careful with that tag axle, Was talking with one of your fellow drivers last winter and he was hit with 2 preventable incidents by getting stuck and needing a tow because of those tag axles.

Yeah My trainer told me they are for regional drivers here south because they are pretty weak in snow, being otr now they said hopefully within a week or 2 when a certain otr driver turns in his keys, I'll take his dual axle manual. But yeah, I'm not too excited about it

I've dealt with tag axles on trailers, an rv but am I thinking of what I call a "dead axle"?
