Finished up a full day finally, after all the ice and crap the past 2 days. Looking forward to Air/Pump Load/Unload tomorrow.
Juanthehumanoid Thanks this. -
Don't let the first day get you discouraged. Not everyday will be that way. The dispatcher will hopefully remember what you just done for him and hook you up with a good run.
Juanthehumanoid Thanks this. -
Did my first air unload by myself and am back in PA at the terminal. Have a load picking up at the same place delivering same day in NJ.
Going to be hard on my 14 tomorrow. Most likely I'll be out of hours at the customer which says on the work order that they have overnight parking. I hope so since if not finding a place to park in NJ in the afternoon with no hours will be hard. Home time is fast approaching so I'm hoping for a load back southJuanthehumanoid Thanks this. -
Goodluck @TaterFox you got this, plus you get a cheat sheet. Take it with you always i love mine lol and @newbietrucker91 you're otr or regional? Good to hear you're on the move. Nj back is a good 1600 I believe. I finished the day with another trailer drop off. For 1 of the other loads the trailer was missing,1 had no wash slip so nalco wouldn't take it. The last one for today was to some other chemical plant, trailer had a busted tire, so asides from being there at closing it couldn't go anywhere anyway lol tomorrow I'll call my dbl and see if I can get that ore assignment from pre assignment from nalco loaded back to Houston to start, and maybe then i can have a real work day. Today wasn't all bad, I coupled and uncoupled alot. Made some stupid tight turns imo and blind side backed in a very stupid set up in a tight yard with trailers on both side. Hardest back I've ever done, and it was totally unnecessary lol but I learned alot about the truck from it. Also got used to the auto I am now in aswell. All in all, it's another day for the books, though I definitely don't want tomorrow this way

So after a few more trailer moves I got back yo Houston and assigned a 1000 mile or so journey to Georgia. Soon as o park my bobtail, some dry van driver backs into me. Load gonna get cancelled now and have to wait for glorious maintenanc tomorrow morning . I am legit upset, but whatever. It is what it is. Literally just wanna work and make some money. That's all I want. Sighh
TaterFox, newbietrucker91 and slim shady Thank this. -
You better of got that rubber mallet and gave that can driver a wallop lol. Sucks man. I'm sleeping at the customer today which brings of the issue of getting a cooler my my truck. In order to get here on time I ran straight over without stopping to eat. Had a back of chips and a soda so that's what's going to get me through the night lol.
You need to make sure they pay you ignite going to take a whole day to fix. Also I'm OTR to answer your question.Juanthehumanoid Thanks this. -
That's a run of bad luck. I hope it gets better for you. Always remember that most of the drivers that park in the terminal are new drivers and accidents will happen. Been their done that and learned my lesson and stopped parking in the terminal unless I was parking it for the weekendtank4life and Juanthehumanoid Thank this. -
So all I ended up with damage wise was a torn passenger step. Told maintenance to hold off til a pm and I called insurance in. All good, went got my hoses and pump washed finally got my trailer hooked and it' already clean and pretripped ready to go for tomorrow. I am ready
