When the BOL says it must be at a certain temp, but not the qualcomm it means they are not paying for HIT.
99% of the time, when they put it into totes, you dont do a thing. They have their own equipment. Your equipment is just backup.

Got to the customer and everything changed. Instead of unloading into totes I am pump unloading into a tank. However it never is easy, internal valve broke and had to use a jack to open it. At first I was getting no pressure so opened up the internal to find no fluid so dumped oil in it for a last ditch effort. Pressure was building but then nothing. No leak around the tank but when I went up top I saw this. Customer got a jack and we manually opened the internal.
Unloading glue at 100 gallons every 7 minutes so will be here awhile. My next load is already scheduled to be picked up headed to Long Island NY. Mighht not make pick up today but doubt they will drop the load.
Juanthehumanoid Thanks this. -
I made it back home, waiting on a truck now. Took the time yesterday to start the background check, said it should be 48hrs to get the acknowledgement, I'll get my hme papers then put it on my license sometime next week. Twiddling thumbs.
Juanthehumanoid and newbietrucker91 Thank this. -
Everything going wrong this week. Spent 2 hours at the tank wash to clean my lines which were frozen solid with product. Went 5 miles to the Quala to get my trailer and find that it's dirty.
The inside was cleaned but the external valve and QRB was not washed real good and were still covered in product.
On hold now to find out what will happen. There's another guy here waiting as well on a trailer. His last was dirty and the other one they sent him to get has a broken ladder due to either someone backing into it or the driver taking a sharp turn and running it into a barrier.TaterFox Thanks this. -
Ugh, that sucks

FYI, the tank wash rarely clean (fully disassemble) qrb valves. They take them out and toss them in a bucket of solution, and let them soak while they clean the tank. They then throw them back in, and tighten the ring collar.
Take a spray bottle and spray the threads on the qrb, and wipe them clean. Problem solved. I know, i know...its not right. But hey, its either that or sit and not get paid.
Why do you think there are trailers with missing lights? Because i borrowed them for my trailer. Lol. -
I was offered detention pay for waiting 3 hours to get it fixed. Only took them 5 minutes to power wash the valve. However there was some thick stuff still inside the chamber that needed removing.
Hopefully when I get loaded it closes my internal. The internal valve is frozen open on this trailer so there's that to look forward to. Pin is inside and won't pop out. -
Try jacking the internal valve up, and releasing it..couple of times. Sometimes it can crack the ice, and it will pop back out.

Tried and no luck. Kept pumping the internal till fluid started to ooze out of the handle and stopped.

Hoping they find me a truck soon, don't think I'm getting paid sitting here, as much as I missed my family all those weeks
