    For anyone reading. What all should I bring on the road with me in a couple days when I head out with the trainer? Thanks. Got a flash light, some clothes, my chem and nomex suits, and other issued ppe

    Take a good look at your haz-mat and fire suits. If they've been used they might be damaged. Also, do they fit you? These are things to find out before you go off on your own.

    As a new tanker, I can say the working conditions are a surprise. Ran into a ton of Schneider bulk guys at the Quala tank wash in Corapolis. I think some of them live there. Lol 19D did well over there.

    Hotels, better pay than I expected, and folks call you by your name. So glad I went tanker from the git.

    To the OP. Great thread. Keep it up and best of luck to you. I carried trail mix to snack on. Bring plenty of clean socks. I'm an anti two day in the same socks kinda guy. Lol

    Will do, thanks. If there is one thing I have zero tolerance for, it is wet socks. That will ruin my whole day lol
