Sucks you gotta go with Trans Am but if that's the only company willing to hire you then you gotta do what you gotta do. Stay away from their lease program. They push that onto drivers.
Oh there's no way in Hades I would ever lease a truck from anybody. Maybe one day if I get the money for a truck then I'd buy one but that's a long way away.
Trans Am might put you thru orientation and training then once you upgrade.... tell you they don't have any company trucks available yet but they have plenty of lease trucks. Tempting you into leasing.
Hmmm, my US Xpress recruiter is now ignoring my emails. Now taking bets on them lying to me. I sent her an email asking who she talked to at Maverick and what was said so I could get it straightened out. She is not responding at all. I have since found out that Maverick only does employment verifications like start and end date. They don't say whether you made it out of training or not. So something smells fishy here.
I would but I don't think there's anything wrong with it as Averitt accepted it and me and i would have gone if not for having to drive my own car under my own gas with my own money every weekend to and from Columbus.
Well well, glad to know I was not the only one with an issue close to this. Hmmm. Well first it was the ol "golly gee we cant find a team partner for you, but how amazing is this we just got told we can hire you as a solo driver out of your area! You are one of a handful that can do this as of today!" Good and fine I would prefer that anyway even though it wasn't an option 2 days ago when I asked. Furthermore, "we cant get a hold of a company you worked for over 9 years ago in springfield mo.(excluding the name here) even though they are on your dac with a clean slate. Well maybe everyone called in sick that day and the offices were empty, and the day before that, and the day before that. I believe the release I signed only stated the 3 previous years, but anyway, should have kept my mouth shut,or should I have now looking how things started to transpire, and blabbed about something i shouldn't have and got the ol " you should probably move on now, probably got recorded so I understand a little. I have moved on an probably better off cause i think I was starting to get the runaround. Not trying to bash just telling my experience
