Starting With USX Next week the 24th.

I would think if you have an employee number, you have been hired. They do not check any of that stuff before hand, because of all the people that do not show up for orientation. What you are doing is very typical of how USX does this stuff. If I were you, I would be happy that I was not on a bus for a day and half to meet up with a trainer. Also if you have your number and you have the information on the mods you have to do on the internet then I would use this time to knock them out. I forget what they call them as it has been a while.

 

I'm curious as to know if there is a fee for having a passenger (such as a wife)

JB, sorry to hear of your frustrations. I was hoping that things would be better, so I will keep my fingers crossed for ya. My hubby went to MN, and will start his orientation tomorrow with D&T trucking. It is a small company, instead of these bigger ones because it always seems that things go great in the beginning, but then you find out differently.

Well you are blaming USX, but it is a past employer that is holding you up. Legally they cannot hire you until they have verified your past employment. That is a federal regulation. HD was correct. They don't do a complete background check until someone actually shows up.

 

Hey jb i worked for usx for a while. It was a pretty decent company, but as.with all it depends on where you are and your dm. I had a husband/wife team that got yanked.around and unfortunately they ended up quitting. I hope things go well for you, but.if you get your time in i would recommending going somewhere else. I've been with Barr Nunn for 5a yrs now...lovin it!
