I just received a verbal pre-hire today from US Express. Recruiter came in last week and gave us some info. Said they no longer force team driving. I did a little research and it seems to be true. They also claim to have a short training period. (That's provided you can drive and past a test after the first three weeks of training.) Is the duck walking test basically squatting down and going 5 feet under the 42" rope? Also if I go with them I will go to the Tunnel Hill terminal.

I hear Tunnel Hill is real nice. They are working on making this place like there. I think it is higher then 42". When I have time later I will let you know what you have to do. So far sounds like a great company. I am doing OTR solo. They did not say anything about team yet.

Orientation is the same for everybody.....it's the time out with a trainer that is different and that is based on whether you are a student, driver with previous experience, how long ago that experience was.......time with trainer can be anywhere from 50 hrs to 150 hrs.....one week to 5 weeks.....totally dependant on the miles and if the truck is in the shop or your trainer goes home or you are doing a 34 hour reset, etc.
