Not to diminish the problems you are experiencing (they suck) but I do not know any other drivers at USX that are having these kinds of problems.

This is the first I have heard of it too. Just got home from Tunnel Hill.

This is a common theme among big companies of and industry. Too big for for their own good, causing depts to be big as well and loose eash other in the shuffle. The way to fix this is to know what dept you NEED to talk to and be prepaired. If they pass you off it is due to YOU not knowing what depts deal with what.. Each dept has its own job to do, not yours and certainly not mine... Just be pactient and you will learn the ropes...

well said sheepdog.

Ya know, I dont remember his name, SheepDog, but maybe you do. I think maybe if he could call that guy that came into talk with us that takes care of issues just like this one. He said he could save people a lot of time if they had an issue cuz he knows who to talk to.
You know who I mean??? -
I forget his name but yes, he is the driver liason and you can find that info in the handbook... I pass him in the haul in say; "good day laison"..LOL
-
it's nice to see they have "driver laison" again
SheepDog Thanks this. -
You should for the safety of the person on the side of the road. You have to always expect the unexpected. A kid could be there and they will dart out without notice.
Unloading you are supposed to be on line 4. If you are not and you have a wreck and someone gets hurt or killed you will be in deep trouble. You can show sleeper berth as long as you are in the sleeper. DOT is cracking down on off duty used at shippers and receivers. I have seen copies of several inspections done in NY and the drivers were cited for that. They had them posted at Cargo Transporters drivers room.SheepDog Thanks this. -
We have permission to go Off Duty after being at the customer for 15 minutes.
-
Yep...If it takes you longer than 15 mins. to back into a dock, you need to go through training again. There are a few that may take longer, but I am sure there are more you log 15 and it takes 5.
