States and 40' max

its funny cause Im now actively looking for the laws and penalties for doing such and there is interestingly nothing on this subject. Even when just searching for driving a 45' truck in a 40' state. maybe this thread needs to be in the main section. I mean im all for being legal, but if I could squeeze an extra foot or 2 out of the truck then hell yeah. That foot is an extra dollar to me.

so going back and digging some more, I found that my home state has a max length of 45 ft and some other states follow that rule as well so it appears that map is pretty unreliable. So now Im digging around to find what is the true law for all the states and it seems to be pretty few and far when dealing with straight trucks. If a vast majority of states is 45' then that would be pretty ######. Will allow me to do a 32' bed. A huge upgrade and benefit. If any one has more info on that subject, Id love to hear it

 

just made a post in the regulation side of the forums. Kinda dead there but we will see what happens. Problem is a vast majority of us here are semi drivers and so straight truck info is kinda rare to come by lol
