What state has a random regulation or law that you wish was nationwide because it would make your life easier? Here’s mine. Imagine if slow vehicles were required to use turn outs or pull over to let traffic pass.

I would rather just have the state with the least amount of laws.

Yeah but the faster traffic still technically isn't supposed to exceed the speed limit right? How does that work? If a slower vehicle doesn't move over for someone going 100 mph, do they both get a ticket? Does one law overrule the other? Just curious.

This is one of the biggest problems I see. Almost everyone seems to advocate for breaking the laws, like x amount over the speed limit, or running overweight, ignoring HOS, etc. But then they expect everybody else to follow all of the other laws.

What a PITA for the heavy loaded or under powered truck. Having to stop to let traffic go by. How often in a 6 mile run up a 6% grade would a truck have to stop.
I know a few states in the NW have this or similar laws. This is not bad when driving a road that has a wide enough shoulder, you can keep moving. But on the other small 2 lanes it is a problem.

They won’t be going 100 mph if they’re behind you going slower than the normal speed of traffic.

IF you are going to have this law, then the state should build passing lanes at specified distances.

They should also allow the slow traffic back in by making the left lane end or yield.

Going up Lost Trail or Lolo Pass there aren’t any designated turn outs and there are sections of passing lane, so no stopping on a grade. Going up Harpster or any of the others you’d be hard pressed to have one vehicle come up on you let alone three. The areas that have turn outs are more for people who are scared of driving on a narrow two lane.

Most of the turnouts on 12 and 95 are long enough that you can keep rolling while they pass.
