Since she was my recruiter, I'll jump in on this one. What makes you think you're a good candidate since you have had more than two other jobs in the last two years? Are you on your third or tenth? This shows you are not a stable employee, or at least, may suggest you're a job hopper. It costs an average of 5-8k to bring someone on.....would you spend that on yourself considering your recent job history? Christine was straight up with me all the way and went to bat for me once when I was having an issue there. She gets paid to put good people in the seat, and she has a performance incentive. Let's hear your job history for the last two years and let us make our own decision, instead of just saying she's got an attitude. Me thinks there is more to your story than just two jobs.

Let's see, by looking at your posts where did you get fired from? Covenant, Arnold\US Express, Paschall, DeBoer?
That kind of work history, why would they hire you.
What do you have to offer?
On your opinion all these and maybe more, places stink.
Where are you off to next?

    Witty.
Simply proves anybody reading these posts, especially if researching a company, should look at all of posters postings.
Will tend to be able to judge some of the character and agenda, by doing so.
Too bad recruiters can't use this info as a tool. Tool

Hey, don't forget the most important bit of advice: go to a truck stop and personally ask other drivers how they like working for Conway.
Funny how many of these "company men" always seem to avoid giving out such an important tid bit.
Only by personal interaction will anybody get a real insight into both the "character and agenda" of the advice they are given.
Unfortunately, some career drivers are in total denial in regards to the choice that they have made (either out of fear or lack of ambition) in regards to the tolerance of the substandard pay and conditions that they have endured, sometimes many years, at any one company.
Hence the neurotic need to defend it.
Don't let yourself get tooled by fools; Do your research and then make your choice.

Five to eight thousand dollars to bring someone one to work for Conway ?

Just how does that work out ?
    2 grand for a drug test ?
    2500 for a physical?

First class flights and suites at the hotel ?
do you get a car and driver provided?

Do they have their own invention team to do back ground checks ?
I honestly don't see how anyone can believe that it costs 5-8 grand to hire a new driver .
If it cost that much no trucking company would ever treat a driver crappy !

I don't need 2 sides in this forum Thats why they have the report a bad company and report a good company on another page in this forum. Nowhere does it say report good and bad company's here. Thats why truck drivers are always getting treated like children. They can't even follow simple instructions. If you like the company then go to the report a good company section, and say so.
If I am getting payed by the mile at a carrier why would I want to go around and tell everyone to come get a piece of my pie?
And good trucking company's don't have big ads in all the rags?
50 to 70k a year with good home time? Please the drivers would be busting the door down and all the recruiters could go home. They are no better or worse then the rest.
I have asked drivers at a company I used to work at for several years and knew what the pay and miles where and how many loads you had to do to get that pay and how much time off you received and got responses that where ludicrous because some people don't want to admit they are getting hosed.
Now if your a holdin Conway's belt loop then go a singin your praise in the good company forum instead of trolling around here. And let drivers save time scrolling through your recruiting bonus posts.
And no need to reply with fantasy retorts with no basis in reality. The truth has been told and nothing else needs to be added Because your opinion means zipolla if it is just to respond to reality's you refuse to admit to.
So it is written, so shall it be done.

Surfer Joe is dead on right. Go to the truck stops and talk to to drivers. I know, because when they came up to me there I always told them the same things I say here.

When you factor in transportation, drug tests, background checks, hotels, training pay, incidental costs, equipment, materials, paying a trainer to babysit, wages, taxes, etc....it all adds up. I don't know the exact number, just going off what I was told, and by my own experience as an employer previously.

That must be on the freight side, a team combined, or lease truck gross.
