nope never had to line 4 detention time....but now if you get a 10 hour reset during this time you will not get detention pay... Just sayin' I have only been denied detention twice...once because GP wouldn't let me stay on the property and I had to take a 10 by the time it was all said and done (FYI my FM fought for detention for me) and the other because I sent the macros in the wrong order...

Plus you can also be denied detention if your late to your appointment too...so mind that clock...

It's been total sunshine and lollipops for you. I guess I'd feel that way too if I had worked 16 hour days for 20 years.

OK, so why when I've said I informed my FM and sent the macro, why are you telling us we should inform our FM and send the macro?

This is what I want to know, do you work for a service company that defends the reputation of Roehl on message boards? Is this the only message board you work for Roehl? Do you defend other companies besides Roehl?

I just got off the phone with the payroll department yesterday and this is what I was told, no line four no money. Now, that's just a fact.

Yep, sunshine and lollipops for me. Coal for you since you seem to only have a negative attitude in life.

Fact, I was detained for nine hours. Fact, the company says it pays detention. Fact, I told the FM, sent in the macro, I wrote it on my bills and trip sheet. Fact, I was not paid the detention. Fact, I was told I was not paid because I didn't log line four.

I don't know what your agenda is but it is unfathomable to me that a driver would preach "time management" and not be aware it is often unwise or impossible to take the ten hour break at a fuel stop. It is ridiculous that a driver would compare a 14 hour day and sleeping in parking lots to working 8, 9, 10 hours a day and going home at night. Thus, sunshine and lollipops.

We talk about 34 hour resets, but we talk about 10 hour breaks. Cool, detained for 9 hours, maybe get paid. Detained for 10 hours, 'sorry driver, that was a full, 10 hour break...at the customer, in their parking lot, hopefully there was a toilet there for you, certainly there was no shower or restaurant...sorry, 10 hours, no money, too bad it wasn't only 9 or 9.5...'

'Sorry driver, we see you sat there for x number of hours and you contacted your FM, wrote it on your bills, sent in the macros. Too bad you sent in your macros in the wrong order, no money for you...'

It's remarkable anyone would defend this ####!

Sucks, I have another company on my 10 year history. It's good that this lunatic asylum wants me to be fully assured I never belonged there in the first place.

Its a fact that you're not always going to get to take your 10 hour break where there is a shower and restroom. That is a fact of OTR and it will always be.

It is unfortunate that this happened to you but anyone who reads this thread can see that its not the norm at Roehl as evidenced by many of the posts of current drivers.

As to defending company policy, well its company policy as stated in your Driver Reference Guide. When you accept employment at Roehl you sign that you'll abide by the rules, policies and regulations set forth in the DRG. Are all the policies fair? Maybe not, but its at will employment and if you don't like it, go somewhere else. Which can be said about any company.

I defend, complain, and just say things on all kinds of companies and topics. I could care less, sorry things didn't work out for you at Roehl. BTW I wasn't defending, just stating policy.

I agree with the B.S. of getting your Detention. Theres no reason why they dont give it as long as its done like that.. I know I have had a few not paid to me. I assure you they are charging for them, but cause you didnt put ur initials on the bills, you dont get paid... Typical
