Stay away from ROEHL!!

That's the way to take care of your DAC. Good advice.

 

I am with Mel...I DID the right thing...but the right thing was not in the planners minds....which sucks...but hey once I get unloaded...as long as I get a plan close to home...well...the load will get there...and they will get their truck back...

 

This is why the DAC is seriously flawed. They didn't hit mine, well as far as I know. It hasn't kept me from a job. I think you did the right thing giving notice. I gave a little under 2 weeks and then had the busiest week. Hope they got you taken care of and do it right. Good luck on the new place!

 

yeah i had a busy busy week...... I turned the truck in this morning....I got asked if i covered a preplan that I rejected...told them no cause it wasn't getting me home when I needed to be home....since i never accepted the preplan and didn't have a load on me i am assuming my DAC should be clear......

On another note...i miss my cascadia already....I was its first driver and she treated me well.....I hope the next driver treats her as good as I did...and doesnt ruin her.......but I am looking forward to my KW T660

 

Jajaja good luck going working for roehl if u lucky u will have an allright experience myself i went thru hell and back and if u think they dont have cameras in their trucks u need to ask them next time u call them i had one looking right at me when driving it will record sound and the entire cab theres only about 70 trucks with cameras total so its a gamble myself personally would not recomemd roehl to anyone seriously

 

You only get a camera in your truck if you have a lot of critical events as in Braking to hard or speeding.


If you are assigned a truck with a camera just ask your FM for a different truck, Thats what I did when a loaner i had came with a camera.

Roehl aint that bad, i just got a raise with the new pay plan and will only be leaving here if i find a place that does more oversized or pays a hell of a lot more

 

when i got the truck the camera was already installed i did ask them to get me another truck or to remove the camera and they told me i need to wait 3 months before they will remove i waited like a month and a quit... Overall the company is fair i started at 0.33 and got a raise to 0.37 and the benefits and home time are good but i would not work for any company with cameras on their truck

I am at a crossroads with who to choose, I see you have been w Roehl for a year or so. I have an offer from Swift and Roehl, was leaning toward toward Swift. I am now reconsidering as Swift has not been too great at getting me info for orientation, which is scheduled for next week. You seem to like Roehl, any other info you could send my way to help me decide.

i enjoy working for Roehl. Safety really is their value.

I've never been treated badly and if they ever mess anything up they're pretty quick to correct it.

You got 4 divisions to choose from, if you go into van like i did then realize you want to do flatbed it's easy to switch. I'm in flatbedding now with them and I'm pretty happy.


I can't say much about swift as i have never worked for them, but i will say i've been asked several times by swift drivers and others of course, about Roehl. A few have switched from other companies to roehl and like it here.

Orientation pays $600 upon completion, two payments of $300. Training pay is $90/day, training is 7-14 days, more if you need it.

i've been with roehl since november 27th 2011, I'm pretty happy here.
