Staying cool in summer

    I'm so glad my truck has an APU. Unless they're offering you tons on that fuel bonus, they can shove it. Idle.

    Yup, idle. You busted your ### all day and need to rest comfortably. Companies that usually ##### about it are toning it down as the driver market tightens up.

    It it's too hot to sleep idle. If it's not don't. It will work out in the end. I ran primarily west coast and southwest and my idle time was never over about 20%. I however had very little down time other than my 10's. I also never had idle restrictions or bonuses for not staying comfortable. These bonuses just keep the guys that idle every time they stop from wasting fuel.

    How about idle air at some truck stops ....seen em never used one..company driver wise I think youd be better off idleing.since they charge. I am curious to know how cold they put out tho...
