Hi, I'm new here. My husband has worked for Steelman for almost three years. It's a good company. He is not left sitting for extended periods of time. Usually he has another load before he has gotten unloaded, sometimes two. He is leasing a 2013 389 Pete. They send him almost anywhere, except NYC, Alaska and Canada. The dispatchers are really nice and they do listen to your concerns. When he started he was under Kirsch at the time but Steelman and Kirsch no longer work together. The pay could be a little better. It's not awful, but he is making less since he stopped hauling for Kirsch because back then he was on percentage and now he is on mileage. They have just begun using e logs. Right now it is voluntary but soon it will be mandatory. My husband volunteered for it. He likes it and he plans on buying the truck.

I been working for Steelman now for a little while and they r well put together. They have their own shop if u need anything done. They charge 78 An Hour Which Is Pretty Reasonable Compared To Ta Or petro. I have a 2015 389 pete and it's been a dream. I push 7.0-7.5 loaded and 8.0-8.5 empty I come from percentage pay so this milage pay takes getting used too but I still bring home enough to pay bills and save up also. I have no complaints and my dispatch Tim is a good guy. He try and meets ur expect ions the best he can. Steelman doesn't advertise Jim the owner leaves it up to us to recruit people that we see that can do their job right and safely. Which makes the lease purchase very easy to handle. I Pay 616 A Week On My Truck Compared To Dealership Price This Is A Very Good deal. From what I understand Jim is part owner of quality trucks in Springfield where he orders trucks from when he sells them to us he gives our payment back to the dealership. He makes no interest off us

I'm with steelman too doing lease on a 2013 Pete. Make good money and I'm stashing in the bank for early payoff. I'm figuring 2 years flat. Miles are good and very easy to work with.
