Drifter they dont teach them to Downshift to a lower gear than they climbed it in, before going down the hill, and if you are going to fast slow down and downshift again, if you can not control it you #### sure should not let er roll down any faster than you can normally go. If you aint got no pedal in the accelerator front tire blows, well bend over assume the position and kiss your happy arse good bye.

16% inbetween Presidio Texas and Big Bend, but I was in a p/u truck. In a semi, 11% somewhere in Western Pa.

I've never seen anything over 9%. Pics, or it never happened! Someone mentioned 78%. That's close to a vertical drop!

I've been on some 10% and 12% ones while off the main roads in BC. Might have even hit a 14%. However, anyone saying the grade is 78%, needs to either not drink before posting, or check their meds.

    outerspacehillbilly Thanks this.

Well I checked You tube and found the company he was talking about and they do do some Huge hauls But but an 85 Degree grade that would be like climbing a Cliff. 78% is 78 feet up for every 100 feet forward so that puts the road at like an 85 degree angle:biggrin_2555:
