Sorry about the 'spread ale' misunderstanding. Pretty new to flatbed. Seen those trailers, didn't know what they were called.

Taking all this to my shop and see what I can get changed.
    Ill be back later

    A few more questions.

Is this trailer dedicated to this job/run?
Do you have a light weight for this setup?
Do you have a slide 5th wheel?

Yep. Is a lot of fun to move when I'm loaded though, as my truck don't have a dump switch. Right now it's set about 2" ahead of the drive. I could go maybe 8" more forward than I am now, but any more I'd be getting into the gooseneck on turns. That 8' upperdeck, & 13.5" kingpin don't leave a lot of room for swing clearance..
I put 50 gallons more fuel after the scale for shower credit. Usually end up about 10100-10150lb steer with more fuel on..

Do tires have anything to do with steer axel weight rating?

    Yes.
Max rated weight is marked on the sidewall.

No. Your steer axle weight rating is not affected by what tires are mounted to it.

That being said, most states just check your tire rating and don’t care what your axle is rated for.

You cannot exceed the rating of either the beam tag or the tire sidewall. Max weight will be set by the lowest rated component.

Whether you can get away with it is a different matter.

Your steer beam has a rating tag and your tire sidewalls have a rating. You cant exceed either. Or atleast you shouldnt get caught at it.

    Not true.
If your axle is rated for 13,500 and your tires are rated for 12,000
    You are limited to 12,000.
