    This is my 20,000lb front axle.

    Tyres are rated at 22,800 lbs.
    I am limited to the 20,000lb axle.

    Makes sense. l quit running ont/mi/Ohio in the summer of 2012. There was rumours they were changing some of those old rules. They do the same in Ont. You can change everything in the front end but they go by the cab tag.
