What truck? Or more specifically how heavy? My Volvo with a big deer basher ate 591's in about 50k miles. I've always run Michelins otherwise and if bad luck doesn't take one out they are good for 150-200k. I'll never put 591's on a heavy tractor again but probably wouldn't chance them at all.

You'll probably do a helluva lot better with 591's then. Most heavy Volvo guys I know swear by Michelins because they do so much better with heavy front ends. I think my tractor is closer to 20k and Volvos are all heavier up front.

...I had a steer blow out on my cascadia 2 weeks ago ( it was michelin with 150k ) , I was lucky not to have any body damage , replaced it with some unknown brand ( only option I had at that moment ) ...driving now with bit fear
...Firestone worked great for me on many trucks before

I put on a pair of BF Goodrich 244 's. They are not as expensive as the Michelins. So far I like them. Continental is a good tire but high dollar . I tried a pair of those Uniroyals when they first came out , they were ok , but didn't last that long. I stopped running Yokohama steers years ago when I had a broken belt on a tire two different times. You can get away with running Chinese tires on the drive axles but I wouldn't risk it on the steer.

get yourself a michelin national account. or do the gold program thru wex, they have multiple brand choices as well. the gold program is probably your easiest bet, it's like a 5 minute phone call to set it up. Tires are pricy, gotta use the tools at our disposal. My choice would always be michelin drives. I have had ok luck with continentals as well.

I will not buy them ever again, Also I believe they are being made in China now depending on the Letter if I understood correctly. Prob why they are under preforming.Rideandrepair Thanks this.
