Hey guys my steering box was recently changed. When I turn to the left the pitman arm is extending too far out and rubbing the bumper area. And it’s not turning equaling on both sides it’s turning less right and more left

Pitman arm was probably set on the wrong spline. Check for timing marks on the arm and sector shaft.

    What brand steering box?
I had a procedure "timing" to follow when installing my last steering box. Search the internet for instructions and videos.
    Good luck.

Had the steering box replaced on my pickup, because it was under warranty. They called me when it was done: "Your truck is finished, and aligned, but the steering wheel is crooked now. Are you okay with that?"

I'm sure you can guess my answer...

I spent one summer during college in a 'rebuild shop' for Chem Leaman the year Mack intoduced the '300'.

We were doing some of the mack 'final inspection' on the new company trucks to help Mack clear up their backlog due to the new engine.

Every truck had the steering box marked and pitman installed one tooth off.

Floor jack under the center of the axle, count the turns lock to lock and come back 1/2 then measure the sloped side of the steering box with a protractor then move the Pitman one tooth, make a new mark on the shaft end and spray it all with a can of Royal Blue paint.

Yeah, that's unacceptable. Give 'em an inch, they'll take you a mile.
