2006 FLD 120. Hello all!!! We are looking for the steering wheel nut size and pitch. Trying to remove old steering wheel to replace we kinda messed up spindle? Haven’t gotten old wheel off yet but I’ll need to clean up threads once we do. Want to get correct die. 1.5 million steering wheel is stuck to say the least. Please if anyone knows the correct size for that steering wheel bolt let me know. And the best way to get old wheel off would be appreciated as well. Pulled threads out of wheel trying to get it off. It’s still running but needs fixed soon. Thank any and all comments in advance!!

You pulled the threads where the puller bolts go?

Two guys, one pulling up on the steering wheel, the other uses two hammers to hit the shaft. Can also be done with one guy by using your knees to put pressure on the bottom side of steering wheel.

    Pops right off.

Not sure of thread size. When you get the wheel off, get after it with a thread file, or triangle shaped mini file

You need to soak the shaft and nut for a day with PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench and you could pop the wheel off by gripping the steering wheel at the 10 and 4 o’clock positions and rocking it and pulling up the same time, and alternating at the two and eight o’clock positions and repeating till the wheel pops off.

Take the steering wheel nut to your local hardware store, they should have a thread size gauge to measure the diameter and type of thread, and you can purchase a rethreading tap to fix the threads.
