I’ve seen very few step loads using levelers on that road, however where I park I am the only flatbed amongst multiple step deck guys who have them and claim to use them.

Any of y’all have pics using them and how often do you use them?

    really just curious about it.

I use them, don’t have any pictures tho

I run 48’ steps and flats.
I carry 1 load leveler per stepdeck. Top decks i have a 10’ and a 11’. So i use them if I’m putting something that either cubes out the whole trailer (primarily my use of them) and i have to bridge something from the top deck so it comes out as 12’-14.5’ total top deck length On mixed units; or, lets say I’m hauling 16’ long units: i throw a load leveler at 16’ from the nose so i can run them 3 in length and spread them out vs having them stacked higher on the bottom deck.

I’ve heard truckers say any flatbed load could be made to work on a stepdeck with enough levelers............
1 thats not true- and even if it was it would be dumb to carry 4/5 of them around to cover a “what if” like that.
2 it’d be fairly dumb imo to spend the money on a step to then haul around flatbed freight and always be moving levelers around. Working harder to say it can be done isn’t high on my list of things to do/

you set the upright ends into matching stake pockets, and while you can use a strap to keep it there in transit when not in use; you are sposed to use chain when using them to support a load.

I have seen more than one leveler fold up after a quick stop.
But they do come in handy at times
I however have taken mine off the trailer due to company banning the use of them.

I see them in use every time I'm loading foam insulation in Utah. The manufacturer will load steps there but you must use levelers due to the size of the material.

we carry 2 per step deck. i can count on one hand how many times i have used it for its actual intended purpose. they are older, they fit in the same slot as the Jhooks do so its nice not to have to secure them all the time. they split in the middle. they have plates on the side that state they are only good for 10,000lbs each, which isnt very useful

I cant however tell you how many times i have used them for a make shift ramp for trucks or skidsteers. ill try to find a picture. this style we have works wounders for a nice little ramp up to the top deck. .

    That’s mine.
I would say I use them occasionally at best. If not for the fact that my ramps convert to them, I wouldn’t bother to get them separately.
