An operater would of tracked off the trailer using the bucket/arm to re-leave weight off the end of the trailer thus not damaging it.

that's how I did it as well, good theory, but the bucket can only reduce so much weight. And depending on how much hydraulic pressure you apply can push weight back onto the tracks.

No ramps so this is how I loaded an old dozer on a Schnabel/step yrs ago....Not too pretty but no damage yeah that's me kick-in the tires lol

There seems to be an awful lot of folks ordering a step to do an RGN's job lately. Not picking on anyone here...just seen it a lot lately.

You would hope so, but I suspect such is not the case. Hereabouts, steps are suddenly seeming to be very popular with the cut rate crowd.
