I can see how that would be a reasonable escape plan.

 

We do oversize all the time, so we are definitely used to it. I don't allow customers or brokers to reimburse for permits or quote a load "+ permits". I add it into the rate. I charge face value of the permit + $x for ordering + $x for expected fax fees. We don't order many permits through a service, but when we do those charges are added in as well. Permits are not a profit center, but you shouldn't lose money on them either.

 

I've done cost plus bids before. Some compainies we have to order through their permit service. Kinda like J.D. on contract runs.
Other costs plus we do the permit ordering and bill for the time and service as well. The company has a fee for doing our permits that goes out on each ld.

I don't believe that the trailer he is loading is his, unless he works for us. That trailer is one of ours.

If you're referring to my post, that trailer was a loaner from Columbian Techtank outta their Winchester, TN facility!! Date was around 2009
