step deck turning clearance ?

    That distance from KP to the drop is called "swing" and those mud flap hangers with the corners chopped off may help. Also, there are guys with removable mud flaps....hangers and all. I ain't saying you won't get a ticket. I'm just saying.

    Turning with a step is just another animal to tame. Going from a flat to a step is a small adjustment, but then to a double drop is a big adjustment. Give it a little while of watching them rear axles and it will be good.

    Sorry I added to the confusion as I thought he was referring to the clearance problem from the upper deck to the back of his cab as this is the problem with my truck setup. Maybe I've pulled a flat to long and had to many shippers wanting to let things hang over the front.
    I hadn't considered a clearance problem with the mudflaps till you explained it that way.

    No wonder! I was thinking to myself that Flightline knows his ####, so what is he thinking here. Had a shipper want me to hang off the back 4' the other day with my 51' trailer, so I understand
