I'm glad I started this thread. I learned a lot about step decks.

Are there any issues with having a double drop like that?

That's a nice trailer. Looks like it has a lower center of gravity more like a low bed but you still have the whole trailer length to load.

Empty weight can be a problem......ramps, double drop, etc usually weigh
more than a standard stepdeck. Can also be an issue when loading large boxes,
etc that require a flat deck.....such as freight containers.

The problem with multi-purpose trailers is they may not be right for either
legal freight or OD/heavy equipment freight. To heavy for legal loads......many legal
    loads are 50,000# or more...….

Heavy haul OD freight requires real lowboy deck height...…empty weight is not
an issue.....going to be permitted anyway......extra axles, ability to handle a lot of weight
    concentrated in one spot, etc....

Point is in many cases you will be better of going either "light weight, legal load"
trailer...….or go the lowboy/heavy haul trailer route......maybe have two trailers.....trying
to have one multi-purpose trailer doesn't always work out so well.

AD332FAE-7C51-466F-9200-BEED45EF3A0B.jpeg I grab an new pic, but she got herself a crap ton of new metal. It’s amazing how much rot we found once we started pull the rust away. Very glad it was torn down before used. It would have been bad

Like @rcelmo said, they’re a jack of all master of non. For our purposes it will work really well. But will still leave us with some limitations. A full on tilt deck would have better for us but i couldn’t find one this cheap. This guy will suite our needs well enough

Excellent trailer for hauling forklifts, skidloaders, etc. I don't care
for the Landoll full bed tilt trailer because some of the older forklifts the
parking brake doesn't hold. I am usually by myself so I have to drive the
machine on and than try to quick chain it before it rolls off again...…...
With this style the main deck stays level while loading. The new Landoll's
have remote control so driver can stay on the machine while operating
    the trailer....

Yea the only area this trailer hems us up is delivering storage conex boxes. We will need to bring a pick up or have some other forum of anchoring the box to get it off the trailer
