Yeah really a load down to Naples or Miami at $2 a mile, with nothing coming out?

Is it that hard to understand why trips like this would break an new o/o within six months.

But I learned something, brokers can not get it.

As someone who would be new to driving load boards are the only choice. I have yet to see a trucker post a pic with proof that they get anything more.

Not the only way to find work, this is why people depend on load boards and go broke.

I pull company trailers. I've got a dedicated 53' step conestoga I pull 90% of the time. Seems like I'm mostly putting flatbed loads on it. It does have a sliding rear axle and I can raise the trailer to dock high but that is mostly last resort as I hate backloading. It's down to preference IMO. I like steps cause they're easier to strap/chain and get on. On an open step you got more options for OD loads and more $$ as well. If I bought a trailer right now it would definitely be a step 53' with ramps. Lots of tarps, some 30x30's for sure. But then again I'm some kind of weird cause I like tarping.

I always try to have an open mind while reading posts and I think there is a lot of good knowledge on these forums. I also try to be courteous to others on here learning. With that being said:

theRookie1- It sounds like you are new to the industry. Not just as a driver, but as a broker as well. If you poke around on here you can find some good companies to hitch up with to get some experience.
