I'm picking up a 51' Fontaine step Friday. After running the numbers and the dimensions on all my loads, I can for the majority on the step. Plus I can now run 10'+ tall loads and containers. I'll keep ya posted on how things go

How many loads are out there that are flat only? The only one I can think of is train wheels.
-
Steel beams over 40' long. Most places won't load a step even with levelers. Also Arcelor-Mittal will not load stepsaiwiron Thanks this.
-
NuCor steel will not load many steps, load levelers or not 80% of all loads require flat on trailers.
volvodriver01 and SHC Thank this. -
Ok. Settling down for flatbed. Revolution H, 48. Dealer wants 38.6 for it, with 1600 down. Not a bad deal, I think.

I know where up can get a 53' step combo with boxes and can locks for the same price.....
That price seems VERY high for a Revolution H. I'd keep shopping around -
The same dealer has a Fontain 53 tx step combo, with boxes, can locks and 8 aluminum rims for 41.
I suppose, he is charging 2 k extra for the rims?
I checked several places and the price seems around 38-39k.

There is a dealer in TN that has several 53' Combo Fontaine steps with can locks, boxes, Alumnium rims, tire inflation systems, and will raise to dock height for $38,000 out the door.
ill make a call and get the name of the dealer but the guy just bought 3 of them. -
Nice deal! Can you give me his lnfo? Big lunch from me
-
I'm working on it, it is a Infinity AX trailer, not a revolution. But they all have the routed rub rails now. And the combo can hold 55k in 4'.
After looking on Truckpaper tho, I guess the price u were given is about right for a flat. I didn't realize they were so #### expensive now. I get a MAJOR deal buying mine thru Landstar.... But $40k for a trailer is still a lot of coin !!!
