We are having problems with a 2008 MBE 460 Engine in a 2008 Sterling. Truck will start missing, and have a lack of power. Change Fuel Filters and it will clear up and run fine for the rest of the day. Yesterday, fuel filters didn't fix it. Took it to the dealer. They had me change the overflow valve on the return line. Didn't fix it. Computer says Misfire on Cyl 6. Tired of pouring money in this thing. Anybody ran across this before? I did try cleaning the tanks, that didn't work either. Truck has about 200,000 on it.
Update: This morning same thing light came on went to missing, changed filters straightned up. Only happens in the morning. Temp here around 38 at night. 4 other trucks filling up at same fuel store no one else affected.

    what misfire code?

No injection (correction value of cyl #6 is +10) ore electrical fault of PLD pump?

if code wont moving to cyl.#5 you may have PLD unit bad ore damaged ECM. we use tp rebuild PLD pump units here and we use to fix Temic ECMs too... It is funni, but I do ECM repare right now)))

Some late MBE engines were with DEEC-V ECMs. They had missfire issues too!

    I have a Stirling 2008 with a MB 4000 series motor, which is a Detroit/ Mercedes motor. 450 HP.
I had a massive problem, where the vehicle would be driving, then suddenly the motor would cut out at any speed, whether it was 100 Km/h or 50 KM/h, it didn't matter. It was a very random event, like a gremlin turning things on and off so to speak. I checked the computer, which showed everything being ok. changed chassis ( Water trap Filter ) changed the engine filter etc. Bled the system several times with the special pressure bleeding jig.
eventually I removed all the fuel lines and pressurized them all to 120 psi, and found No leaks.
The fuel system is a vacuum feed to the pump, then it becomes a pressure fed system from the pump to the injectors, so you are working with a dual or a split system.
on the vacuum side between the chassis water trap filter and the pump, there is a hose going to a Fuel Heat Sink Alloy Block. This is Vacuum fed fuel to cool the fuel before going into the pump. I removed and bypassed this unit, and went from chassis filter directly to the pump.
Also the chassis water trap filter which was the original one from Stirling/ Freightliner which was the type that bolts onto the chassis, with the filter screwing from the bottom into the top body assemble, then there is a clear plastic bowl, which screws into the bottom of the filter, with an electrical connecter fitting into sensor on the clear plastic bowl.
Anyway, I found the One Way Valve which stops the reverse flow back to the tank, with a very slight occasional leak in it, possibly causing a slight vacuum chamber in the fuel. I replaced the Fuel / Water Trap unit with a large Dahl Unit, bled the fuel system, and never had a spot of trouble since. Now that was well over six months ago.
I don't know if this will help your problem, but there is food for thought for you.
email me and let me know if you tried this or how you went

LOL, I realize this, I thought that I would post it anyway, in the event that the problem was re-accruing, or at best somebody that was having a similar problem, might have had a chance of fixing their problem.
